Hi Lars,

I recently managed to get my TP770 X working with RH6.0 and IBM turbo token
ring.
I used pcmcia-cs-3.0.12 and kernel 2.2.10 but I think your problem is a
further config file.

Have a look at /etc/pcmcia/network.opts and put your IP netmask etc there.
I've yet to discover how to set IP addresses in this file based on MAC
addresses since the way described in the PCMCIA HOWTO doesn't appear to
work. This shouldn't matter if you only have the one network card though.

Hope this helps,

James

Hi,

I'm using RH6.0 on my TP 770 (9548). I have got it all working but I can't
get my token ring card to work properly.
The problem is to apply an IP to the card.

I got the card working with the following actions:
Upgraded to 'pcmcia-cs-3.0.13'
Used 'tr225.tgz'
Used the patch 'bsmfix.patch'
The kernel I use is 2.2.5-15
I also change the file "/etc/pcmcia/config.opts". The line "include memory
0xc0000-0xfffff, memory 0xa0000000-0xa0ffffff" changed to "include memory
    0xc0000-0xfffff"

My IBM turbo tokenring 4/16 is identified and seems to work but when I try
to apply an IP, Mask, GW and so on everything will hang. Is there anyone
who got it working?
