ifconfig Carrier problem, addendum

Sorry Mike, I asked this question before.  I'm going to snap my 770 into
the cluster on Monday if I get a chance, to see if it behaves
strangely.  Have you experienced poor performance on "regular" 100Mb
transmissions?
