Hi all!

I'm trying to install Linux on my TP 755CX over plip. I boot the TP with an
old SuSE-Linux 5.0 boot disk (6.1 didn't work), it seems to work fine. But
on the other computer, running under SuSE 6.1, there seem to be some errors.
While booting i get messages looking like this:

Setting up network device plip0
parport0: PC-style at 0x378, irq 7 [SPP,PS2]
parport0: no IEEE-1284 device present.
NET3 PLIP version 2.3-parport gniibe@mri.co.jp
plip0: Parallel port at 0x378, using IRQ 7
SIOCSIFMAP: Device or resource busy
SIOCSIFMAP: Device or resource busy failed
Setting up routing (using /etc/route.conf) done

After login, lsmod reports:

Module Size Used by
...
parport_probe 2884 0 (autoclean)

plip 8648 1 (autoclean)

serial 41940 0 (autoclean)

Ifconfig reports the device plip0 working correctly, i think:
...
plip0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr FC:FC:C0:A8:01:01
          inet addr:192.168.1.1 P-t-P:192.168.1.2 Mask:255.255.255.255

          collisions:0 txqueuelen:10
          Interrupt:7 Base address:0x378

So what's wrong???
