[ltp] External Monitor Problem fixed

I have accidentally found a workaround for the problem I have been
having in getting a display on the external monitor on my ThinkPad
385XD.  The display appears on the monitor if I open and close the
ThinkPad.  I have no idea why it should do this, and have done nothing
to XF86Config.
