Well... If you go over to the other "Displays" with Ctrl-Alt+F2 or F3 or F4
(and so on) then you can see exactly where it stops.

The installer (text based) fails when the root partition is on /dev/hda2 as
it's
the case with my TP. I just tried to do an upgrade over NFS using the pcmcia
boot image and that's where it failed. From the stack it seems the bug is
the
installer code (*.py stuff).
