      Which Linux?  A variety of distributions may or may not work, but 
      apparently kernels below 2.2.14 definitely do *not* work, even with
      the latest BIOS, for disks larger than 8G.

      I haven't tried a 30G but it didn't work for a 10G until I went to
      2.2.14 (Red Hat 6.2 in my case).
