As we all know, several TP models (mine is a 600E) refuse
to suspend/hibernate if the machine is on AC power AND if
there are powered PC-cards in the slots.

However, under Win98, it IS possible to suspend (lid close)
under the aforementioned conditions. Therefore, under LINUX
it must be possible, too.

I played around with different (especially PowerManagement
related) bits / settings of the TI Cardbus bridge (hacking
around in the driver), but unfortunately, without success.

Does anybody have a clue about this? What does the Win driver
different?

Does somebody know enough about Win / have the necessary tools
to get a register dump of the TI Cardbus bridge (under win)
to check for differences (against the linux driver settings)?

Please don't waste bandwith responding to this message telling
me that I can eject / suspend the cards etc. I'd like a
clean solution where I can close the lid and walk...

Any (lowlevel, highly technical) hints are welcome - is there
a driver developer at IBM listening :-) ?

Regards, Till.
