Try these parameters at "boot:"

boot: linux hda=cylinders,heads,sectors
or
boot: linux install hda=cylinders,heads,sectors
I forget which...:-)

You should find those values on the outside of your hard drive.

Subject: [ltp] 18GB drive not being seen?

I have a 765D and bought a new 18GB drive (more space!), but the laptop
will not see the drive. Even booting in DOS, IBM's own disk management
tools will not see the drive. The compatability chart shows this drive
works in this laptop, but no success.

Does anyone have an idea how to make this work?

TIA

Mike
