[ltp] where do I start to get my thinkpad on office NT network

OK, here is what I have!

Full slack 4.0 on my
IBM thinkpad 600E with a
3Com Megahertz 3CXM756 Modem PCMCIA card and D-Link DFE-650 ethernet PCMCIA card

here is what I want to do:

access my local area office network that is running Windows NT so I can access remote
files and get on the net.

I dont need a complete breakdown just some direction on the order in which I should
do things

PCMCIA how-to before Ethernet how-to.....
which files do I need to edit, yadda yadda , thanks
