There is another reason for the Thinkpad 760 series "flickering" and it
has to do with the DC-DC convertor when a partially charged battery is
charging.  I've seen this in Windows, Linux and OS/2.  It has nothing to
do with the OS but is a known anomoly that IBM refuses to 'fix'.
