The mwave driver was probably developed and tested on a TP with the
preloaded version of Caldera OpenLinux eDesktop 2.4 on it. This uses
/etc/modules.conf where DeadRat, for some reason, calls the same file
/etc/conf.modules. It's the same thing; just go for it.  .
