[ltp] problems getting X running on a i1200

You should look at this:

> (WW) Silicon Motion(0): Mode pool is empty
> (EE) Silicon Motion(0): No valid modes found
> (II) UnloadModule: "siliconmotion"

The server can't find a valid mode line. You can try to put these lines into 
the Monitor Section of your /etc/X11/XF86Config :

HorizSync 30-64
VertRefresh 50-70
Modeline  "1024x768"   65.00 1024 1032 1176 1344 768 771 777 806 -hsync -vsync
