Yes, I did, no improvement.

Something tell's me I would have been OK had I installed
the PCMCIA reader/writer in the machine before I installed RH71.

I will try T. Hood's suggestion tonight.

BTW, this new "machine" is a dual PIII 1Gig with Raid 0 setup.
The PCMCIA reader/writer is on an ISA slot.
