I am just converting my 10Mbit/s Ethernet to 10/100 Switch based
network. When I use the built-in Ethernet:

Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82557 [Ethernet Pro 100]

I can get 9.8MB/s throughput on large in-bound file transfers. The
connection is full-duplex 100Mbit/s in this case.

With my 3Com 10/100 PC-Card Adapter (Model 3CCFEM556 B) I get only
1.5MB/s under the same conditions as above.

Are there any hidden switches/options to tweak in order to get
reasonable performance through the PC-Card slot?
