Are you sure that you need this? I mean, I never experienced this
"scrolling hang" and thus never had to add "ShadowStatus" to my
XF86Config. Do you have problems if you drop it?

BIOS is the same for all T21 models, AFAIK. BTW, I've made mistake with
the model number - the ones we have here are 2647-97G. Shouldn't matter,
anyway.
If you are interested in a summary of the machines' details, have a look
at this page: http://www.pc.ibm.com/us/thinkpad/library.html . There
you'll find spec sheets (for the US models, but just replace the last
character 'U' of the model no. by 'G' for the german models).
