it's been quite a while since I posted the following. So far I have not
received any response. Is there anybody out there using a Citrix
ICAClient on a TP21 (Savage) to access a remote Windows machine? The
system crash I am describing below seems to be related to the savage
driver, at least 2 of my other RH 6.2 and RH 7.1 machines, one with a
Matrox Millenium the other with an ATI Rage 128 do not crash when I use
their X-servers to display the ICAClients output.

What is the latest status on getting correct Savage specification to Tim
Roberts? Would it be worthwhile to run a petition just like we did with
the Mwave modems?

here is another installment for this thread. In the configuration
described for this subject (standard RH 7.1 on a T21) the ICAClient
software from Citrix crashes the Xserver and the machine so badly that a
hard reboot is required. The problem is reproducable, when it occurs,
the machine does not even respond to ping requests anymore.

After using the client for only a few minutes navigating around in
Windows applications all of a sudden the screen starts to change colors
top down by pixel-row at a rate of 1 to 5 rows per second. After the
color change propagates down to approx 1/3rd of the screen the machine
freezes totally.

Here is the package I am referring to:

[baiti@blackbox baiti]$ rpm -qa|grep ICA
ICAClient-6.0-1

Is anybody else experiencing similar problems?

PS: I cannot 100% blame the Xserver but it is very likely that it is
that way. Reason: When I am running a remote window manager on my T21
and run the ICAClient on the remote machine too then I am still
experiencing the problem described above. My assumption is that if it
was really a problem in the ICAClient code itself it would hang the
remote machine and not the machine displaying the GUI right?
