[ltp] getting 2.4.16 to boot on a 600e

That makes sense and I'm trying that now.

Just one question:

How did it read the kernel in the first place to be able to say that it
can't access the IDE devices?

My /boot resides on /dev/hda5 and is ext2fs
and my / is at /dev/hda7 and is Reiser

I'm pretty sure its not a reiser problem ('block device' doesn't sound
like a filesystem type thing)

Anyway I guess I'll just wait and see what happens
