[ltp] Setting Mouse and Keyboard Sentitivy (USB and TP... xset no dice?)

I have attached as USB keyboard and mouse (wireless.. nice..) but they
do not seem to inherit the sensitivity, etc. settings correctly.

Setting mouse features with xset m affects the thinkpad pointer properly
but the USB mouse ignores them. Same for the keyboard. Same behavior
with ui gnome tools as well.

Suggestions?
