[ltp] tp380ed - crashes when I change from X to console

Hi,
as I wrote in subject my tp380ed + slackware_7.1 + kernel 2.4.0 crashes
(sometimes) when I change from X to console and vice versa. The effect is:
colourful vertical lines on the screen (not moving), no reaction on
keyboard or mouse; even ctr+alt+del doesnt help; I have to manually switch
computer off and on.

Do you have such experience?
Do you have any idea?
Maybe I have misconfigured something in X?
Maybe somebody with tp380ed could send me his configuration file for
comparision?
