You shouldn't call this "sharing", because I think that the mware driver 
needs the IRQ only if the serial port is open. If the port isn't used, any 
other device can use IRQ 3. I had that problem with some other hardware that 
used the IRQ of the serial Port (IRQ 3) of my desktop machine.
