I'm trying to get my hard drive to spin down when not in use.

But when it spins down, it spins right back up!

I've changed the /sbin/update to '-f 3600 -s 3600'
I've set everything in syslog.conf to include a '-' to buffer the
disk writes.

It's still not sleeping?

It's killing my battery time....
suggestions?

PS:  Thinkpad A21m running Slackware 7.1
