[ltp] my 600 saga continued

Thanks for everyones' continued help. I really appreciate it!

I installed rh7.0 with relative success and it is running right along on the
600 I was having so much trouble with rh7.1 and/or anything else current I
had tried. I may try a different distribution next.

Currently, linux is not seeing all of my installed memory. I attempted to
add the recommended lines to lilo.conf to no avail. When I add either of the
following lines and reboot, the machine freezes.

(global): mem=320111

append="mem=320111"

(the numbers are in K and are not the exact numbers--don't have the machine
in front of me)

Any ideas about that? I did read that either way should list the memory in K
rather than M as the thinkpad reserves some memory.

Video specifics: I have found a ton of sites dedicated to this topic, but
none seem to be dedicated to the straight 600 that I've found. Would someone
let me know what the specifics are for the display and the neo chipset in
the straight 600? (screen size, refresh rates, model number, neo memory,
etc)?

Thanks again,
Mike
