I installed Mandrake 7.2 on the Tp770ED and the screen flickers.
This was not happening with Mandrake 7.1
With previous linux versions, I applied a manual reconfiguration to
/etc/X11/XF86Config and the problem disappeared.

Please could someone point me *what* does make the screen flicker?
Vertical/horizontal frequencies??

With Mandrake 7.2, through Xdrakes I set the following configurations:
- Trident cyber 9397 (generic)
- 1024x768  15 bits

but the problem is still there.
So tried moreover to apply these manual changes to /etc/X11/XF86Config :

==================================
Section "Monitor"

EndSection

Section "Screen"
         Driver          "SVGA"
         Device          "TP770ED_XGA"
         Monitor         "TP770ED_LCD-1024x768"
         DefaultColorDepth 32
         Subsection "Display"
                 Depth   32
                 Modes   "1024x768"
                 ViewPort  0 0
                 Virtual         1024  768
         EndsubSection
EndSection
=====================================

I also tried to adjust the Vertical/Horizontal frequencies in the
/etc/XF86Config-4 file
HorizSync       31.5-48.5
VertRefresch    55-70

Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks in advance
Nico
