I'm trying to make my own kernel (2.2.18) in the Debian potato
release.

I got it working, except I fried my PCMCIA configuration.
I know Debian has the package.

but before I bust everything...

How would I go about reinserting this into the existing (2.2.18)
kernel build?

I can do it by hand, but I don't think that's the way to go.

BTW - what's the advantage of Debians make-kpkg over the regular
make process?
