IIRC, LM Sensors is a software package to read diagnositc information, 
CPU/MB temperature for example, from the LMxxx series of chips. These 
chips are usually found onboard many motherboards sold today.

Doing a search on google for "lm sensors linux" will bring up the home 
page for the software.
