[ltp] please help: redhat 7.1 on TP 600X

Hello all,

I just installed Redhat 7.1 on my thinkpad 600X (without lm_sensors:
thanks for the warnings!).
Installation went smoothly, and KDE seems to work fine for a couple
minutes after bootup until:

the mouse pointer freezes: it moves around all right, but it just
doesn't work (relogin helps in this case)
or the keyboard or even the entire system hangs, so only powering off is
the only way out

I installed the bugfix patches for Xconfigurator and mouseconfig from
the redhat site. I also tried disabling pgm, but still having the same
problem. I checked the /proc/interrupts file, and this is what I get:

           CPU0
  0: 63311 XT-PIC timer
  1: 1150 XT-PIC keyboard
  2: 0 XT-PIC cascade
  3: 4198 XT-PIC smc91c92_cs
  8: 1 XT-PIC rtc
 11: 0 XT-PIC usb-uhci, Texas Instruments PCI1450,
Texas Instruments PCI1450 (#2), cs461x
 12: 3147 XT-PIC PS/2 Mouse
 14: 4391 XT-PIC ide0
 15: 0 XT-PIC ide1
NMI: 0
ERR: 0

Is it actually a conflict for IRQ 11 -- two PCI1450 and cs461x? What
exactly causes this problem, and how can I resolve it? I have also
attached dmesg content below.

This is my first linux experience ever, and it has been very frustrating
so far (went through numbers of distributions and numerous reinstalls).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Na-Rae Han
