Regarding this matter, under Linux (Redhat 7.2), I noticed that pressing
FN-F12 while the laptop is pluuged to power source just gives me a beep. If
I unconnect and run on battery, FN-F12 enters hibernation correctly... Under
Windows, the machines hibernates correctly, regardless of plugged /
unplugged.
The machine is dual-boot W98 / Linux, the hibernation file resides on the
W98 partition, and was setup with Windows tools.
