Hello,

Requirements
Hardware
Linux

I am going to install linux on my laptop. I am planning on using the RedHat
7.1 distribution. I want to be able to run VMWare on my computer, and run
NT4 full screen under linux. (My work requires NT for email, but I could run
it below linux.)

I was wondering about the support for the screen on the A20p (2629-6CU,
1400x1050, ATI Rage Mobility 128).

I have read a number of articles that suggest that this video card is
supported properly under X4+ but, not with X 3 (most recent version).
Actually it is supported, but at a painfully slow pace. I will be using it
to run VMWare, which doesn't work with XFree86 4 (at least not in full
screen mode.)

www.xig.com has an Accelerated-X product, which claims to resolve these
problems. It costs 150$. This doesn't appeal to me too much.

Does anyone have any experience with:
A20p + RedHat + X + VMWare?

Can anyone provide any pointers or tips?
