[ltp] APM suspend hangs on T21 (10% of the time)

Did you try hanging it in on a text console? Did it work? 

Which color depth in X? (me: 16)
Are you using Option "ShadowStatus" in XFree86 4?
Did you try a newer kernel? XFree 4.1?
