Dear Robert,

I have had quite some experience in installing RedHat (6.0, 6.2, 7.0, 7.1)
on ThinkPads (600E, 770Z, iSeries 1200, 1400, T20, T21, T23).
Indeed, all had their problems! I can't say that everything worked out of the
box even though some of the models have been "certified".
My advice is to expect some additional work on your part. Since you have been
following this mailing-list you must have a good idea of what typically goes
wrong:

1. Sound
2. Modem (mwave, lt)
3. Suspend/Hibernate
4. Graphics card/External display
5. PCMCIA ethernet/tokenring

Bottomline is that with some patience and a willingness to explore the web
you'll finally get everything going.

Geert
