Hi folks,

according to freqeuntly asked questions like support for certain PCMCIA cards,
Xwindow crashes and sound configuration, wouldn't a general
Linux-on-ThinkPads-FAQ be a nifty thing to have? This could cover general
information that apply to all ThinkPad models or at least to a group of models
(sharing the same sound chip, graphics chip, modem chip, etc.) and also
information for specific models. This way, the amount of redundant as well as
distributed information on all the model specific "Linux-onThinkPad"-pages
could be reduced. I think there should be enough information in the list
archives to build such a FAQ. There could be a uniform "configuation file
matrix" with resources for each model regarding XF86Config, sound config,
kernel config etc.

Well, just an idea...

Regards,
Tino
