[ltp] can't see USB CD-ROM

I installed Mandrake 8.2 on my X20 using only the USB CD-ROM drive. Cool!

But now that linux is running, I do not see my USB CD-ROM anywhere. I looked
for a long while for a HOWTO and in the archives of this mailing list, but to no
avail. The one HOWTO I found recommended compiling a custom kernal! I think
not...

I am suspecting this is all due to the fact that I told the installer I did not
have any SCSI devices...

How can I install my CD-ROM, especially so it is hot pluggable?

Thanks,
Phil R Lawrence
