Hi IBM Thinkpad (funny name ;)),

I own this laptop (2656-AAG). I'm running Debian unstable (I think it's not woody anymore hehe) To make it short: The answers for your questions are yes, yes and uhm.. yes ;)

Nearly everything works up to now (infared drivers load, but not tested yet - modem not needed--> not tested at all).

Even the nifty special Thinkpad(tm) buttons on the top work fine (with an extra program of course ;)) Third button can be used to scroll just like in winblows (needs xfree 4.2) Sound works, too.
The forward-backward keys near the cursor keys are supposed to to their work, too - didn't look at this, but this will be no problem at all.

The only thing I'm missing atm is SpeedStep support, but I'm working on it... same for ACPI (but APM works just fine).

If you experience any problems, just drop me a line :)

Greets,
Boris

p.s. if you'd like to contact me in german - feel free to do so ;)
