Holy Synchronization, Batman!

It worked for me as well - the **1st** time my Visor has EVER synced with any 
non-Win OS/distro.  I just set the Serial Port to /dev/pilot (previously 
symlinked to /dev/ttyUSB1) and hit the button.  Fast and apparently accurate.

Thanks very much for the hint.  I had thought that because JPilot wasn't (to my 
browsing) set up for USB connections, it would fail anything except a true 
serial port.
