[ltp] TP R31 irda again

hi!

i have again a little question about the thinkpad r31:

it asks me in the bios if i want to enable the serial port on std ttyS0
settings and the irda-port on ttyS1 settings.

when trying to connect a modem via ttyS0 i found out that there is no
serial connector on the thinkpad.

trying to get the irda work did fail. i couldnt get any connection to my
palm 505.

have anyone hint's for the irda? in winXP (preinstalled) irda and
ARM-modem works properly....
