I do in minicom ctrl-A-M, initialize comes and goes without A (n error) message.
On AT it does not respond. I don't get an answer back.

I tried "query modem" in Kppp, but it says that the modem doesn't respond.
At the moment I don't have A phone line to plug in, I don't know if that makes A difference, but I don't think so.
Tomorrow I can try that.
