I also tried that with my 765L without real success. I only can expand the 
640x480 resolution in text mode to the full screen (Fn-F8), but the 
characters will be interpolated and look somewhat ugly.

The function of the Fn+F8 key has to be enabled with ps2.exe on my 765L.

VESA frame buffer requires a VESA 2.0 compatible video BIOS. Since even my 
765L has only a VESA 1.2 compatible video BIOS, I don't think the 760 
supports this.
