[ltp] MWave and Mandrake 8.1

Hey all,
I downloaded the mwavem driver from the IBM site and went to install it on my 
tp600 running Mandrake 8.1.  When I went to ./configure the driver (per 
instructions) I received an error message that gcc was not found.  I know it 
is there, but the $PATH may be wrong.  However, as a newbie, I'm not sure how 
to work around this.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks!
