I also tried that first and foremost, It does not detect my card,it does =
but it's not the proper card. I also ran with --noprobe and the other =
option.. for some reason neither option gave me the choice to hand =
select my card.

  I have the Thinkpad 760xl, and you could run the program sndconfig =
from a terminal window.

  As it presents the different options of sound cards. go down the list =
and try some that look like they might be compataible to your system. =
All it will do is show you an error window, that did not work, and you =
can retry again for a different driver. I did this and ended up with 4 =
different types that worked.=20

    Hello all,

    I run Redhat 7.2 on a Thinkpad 600E (2546-8BU)
    228MB RAM
    10GB HD
    Ibm's website has me listed with a  Crystal Semiconductor CS4239=20
    I have used kernel modules (all the cs4*** drivers) didnt work,=20
    tried using alsa drivers, didnt work, even tried loading tpctl (I =
think i'm unsupported)
    and nothing worked at all, i've fixed even the modem, without =
sounds, I am out of options,
    can you elite IBM linux guys help me out please!
