Rob:
One final word, I didn't give the guy enough credit last night. If you look
in the GNOME menu that pops up when you click on the big foot, you will find
a submenu entitled Programs. This is very handy.

Under the Programs--> Applications submenu you will find gedit, which you
can use to edit /etc/inittab.

Under the Programs-->Settings-->Desktop submenu you will find window
manager, which lets you select the window manager you want to use.
Currently the only two that I have available are "Sawfish", which I
currently use, and "twn". I am certain that, if I loaded another one like
wmICE, the GNOME would give me the option of selecting it.

The line in inttab that causes the problem is: x:5:respawn:/etc/X11/orefdm-
nodaemon

Good luck,

Joe Clark
