[ltp] Thinkpad R31, E100, and PCMCIA probs

I truly appreciate the offer.
Below is a copy of the .config I use with the 2.4.19 kernel.
It is then copied to a mounted floppy containing files to permit the
computer the disk is use on to connect via a NIC to an NFS server,
partitions and formats the drive, and sucks the OS bits over, all
automatically. A colleague created the automation and it is used very
successfully. The machine I'm logged into now was used by the disk.
For specifics of my laptop and what happens - the kernel is copied, I then
run rdev /dev/kernel_image /dev/nfsroot, place the disk in the laptop,
power up, give no boot options at the "boot:" prompt, the kernel expands,
shows me what devices it sees though never mentions the EEPro driver, and
dies right after showing hda, complaining about not being able to get to
nfsroot.
