I haven't been able to do this under Linux but, from the list archives, I
learned about making a bootable DOS floppy image and using the PS2.EXE
utilities to do the job.

You'll need a windows distro. of some sort to prepare the floppy.

The floppy images can be found at:

http://www.powerload.fsnet.co.uk/bootdisk.htm

You'll also need winimage (www.winimage.com) to copy the files to the
floppy.

And PS2.EXE can be found at:

ftp://ftp.pc.ibm.com/pub/pccbbs/mobiles/uttpfdos.exe (self-extracting
archive)
ftp://ftp.pc.ibm.com/pub/pccbbs/mobiles/uttpfdos.txt (README)

Sorry, don't know. I haven't been pootering with my Thinkpad for long
enough to be able to answer this.
