[ltp] Plug N Play problems

In order to get my sound working in Linux, I held down F1 during start up, and disabled the "Quick Start-up" or "Quick Boot" or some feature like that. It supposedly disabled Plug N Play or something. I'm certainly no expert on these matters.

I have a USB CD-ROM burner that I'm trying to use from Windows. I guess it's a plug and play device. It used to work before I installed Linux and started messing with my BIOS. Now, Windows doesn't see the drive. More specifically, the little F: drive never appears in Explorer.

I tried going back and re-enabling the quick start function, but that had no effect.

Also, might be noteworthy, is that while Windows is booting, under the Crystal Audio Initialization process, something like the following mesage appears:
* Plug N Play BIOS detected
* Inadequate Configuration to download Firmware code

I really need my CD-ROM burner to back up my files, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Jeffrey Glen Rennie
