Complaining to this list just wastes your time, IMO.

A few knowledgable people does not make a worldwide
support infrastructure which earns its keep.

My usage of the term "unsupported" means the product
was not designed/tested to handle a particular use
or situation, and that situation is well beyond the
terms under which the product was sold.

So I'm pretty sure when IBM says a ThinkPad will support
certain operating systems, it means they tested running
those operating systems on that model ThinkPad.

As always, what IBM means by it is probably something
else again. :-)
