This remind me - I have an Olympus that uses SmartMedia cards and my card reader is not supported under linux. Does anyone know of a usable USB SmartMedia card reader I can buy? thanks,

I have a Canon G1, a Thinkpad 600e, and a very generic installation of RH 7.3. I had very little trouble getting it recognized. I believe all I needed were basic USB, USB filesystems, and (I recall) some SCSI that was necessary for the USB filesystem.

I also believe the G2 and G3 are well supported.

Regards,

Gary H.

Subject: [ltp] Q -- recommendation on digital camera?

I'm thinking of buying a digital camera. I'm using a Thinkpad R32 with
Debian Linux (default 2.4.20 kernel). Can anyone on this list advise me
from experience with regards to which cameras worked well and what
tweaks, modules, etc. were necessary? Thanks in advance.
