I have not been able to get 3D working despite glxinfo saying that DRI
is enabled. As soon as I start glxgears it segfaults :-(

I have a T40 using Debian Unstable XFree86 4.2.1 and kernel 2.4.22. The
card is (from lspci)

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon
Mobility M7 LW [Radeon Mobility 7500]

My XF86Config-4 file uses 24bit colour at 1024x768.

I load the agpgart module then the radeon module and glxinfo shows DRI
enabled.

When I start glxgears it segfaults.

Could you please give me any tips as to what to try out?

Thanks very much, I really want this to work so my GL screensavers don't
wear out my fan!
