Try -c 3 or at least -c 1, enables 32-bit IO-support, which should make
your drive even faster.

There it is...you have a different model...

...with a lot bigger buffer. Mine is 1768kB, just as Timos.
Is guess this isnt software adjustable?

What is the "marketing" name of your drive?
