[ltp] [HS] pcmcia ethernet + token ring on Linux Thinpad

The cardbus ibm token ring adapter uses the olympic chipset. If you get 
one of those then setting it up is a breeze.

It uses the olympic driver, it'll appear as interface tr0 (not eth0 or 
eth1), you can configure it the same as a regular ethernet interface, 
there are a couple of module parameters that are specific to t/r. Check 
out the olympic.txt file in the kernel source Documentation directory. 

The particular set up for the interface will be distribution specific. You 
*may* have a little fun if you want to use dhcp over the t/r interface. 
There are some issues. 

Check out http://www.linuxtr.net for more details. The site is a little 
out of date, the person who hosts it for me is having trouble with the 
server and its an old copy up right now.

 I'm a long time linux user bot not very aware of network arcanas.

 What is the cardbus token ring adapter, on onboard chip ?
( I own a 770X )

* to have the drivers ( modules ).

* to ifup/ifdown my connections to use them ?

 what else ?
