Woooo! Thank you for that. :-) Works here on my A30 and the following
lspci output:

I have not tested dialin since I can not use an analog modem at home,
but minicom shows an "OK" after an ATZ. I used the driver from
ftp://ftp.smlink.com/linux/unsupported/ (version 2.7.9) on an 2.4.20
kernel.
