Indeed, and the URL I mentioned above points to bluetooth on T40's.
It may well be true they can't retrofit bluetooth, but I don't think
it indicates p-ness: looks like it was just how they marketed them
at release time.  I think we can conclude the only thing "p" means
is FireGL!  Thanks for the confirmation, Joel.

I should also add for the person considering the Dell D800 as an
alternative: note that it only ships with ONE PC Card slot.  Which
could be a considerable hold-up if you have to use that slot in Linux
for wireless (although I'm sure you could order a Dell TrueMobile 1150
(it's an Orinoco), which I'm told is relatively easy to fit on Dell's).
Lovely big screen but the real comparison to the T40/p is the D600.
